Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a Grocery Shopper Expert and play a pivotal role in advancing AI training within the grocery retail and wholesale sector. In this expert position, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of procurement and buying to ensure optimal product selection, supplier negotiations, and inventory levels, focusing on profitability and consumer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select and procure grocery products for retail and wholesale resale, ensuring category coverage and market relevance.
• Analyze current market trends, consumer demand, and competitor offerings to inform buying decisions.
• Negotiate optimal terms and pricing with suppliers to maximize profitability and secure advantageous agreements.
• Maintain and manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent stock availability and high-quality standards.
• Set and monitor inventory levels, addressing stockouts and overstock risks proactively.
• Specialize in specific grocery categories, such as perishable or ambient goods, tailoring strategies to category requirements.
• Provide detailed, clear written and verbal communication to inform cross-functional teams and support AI training initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in retail, wholesale, procurement, or grocery buying roles.
• Advanced expertise in product selection, negotiation, and purchasing strategies.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and consumer behaviors.
• Demonstrated ability to foster supplier relationships and manage contracts.
