Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as an Icelandic Language Expert and play a pivotal role in advancing linguistic AI technologies. Leverage your expertise in Icelandic language, translation, and audio to help train next-generation AI systems while ensuring accuracy, authenticity, and cultural relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate, review, and edit Icelandic texts for linguistic accuracy and clarity.
• Assess and improve AI-generated Icelandic language outputs, providing detailed feedback for continuous improvement.
• Support voice data collection and perform dubbing and voice-over tasks as needed for AI training.
• Collaborate with audio engineering teams to ensure high-quality recordings and data sets.
• Develop and refine linguistic guidelines and workflows for Icelandic language tasks.
• Contribute expert insights to cross-functional teams working on product localization and AI language models.
• Remain up to date on Icelandic language trends, expressions, and cultural nuances.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Native-level proficiency in Icelandic with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in translation, editing, or linguistic research.
• Strong background in voice-over, dubbing, or related audio recording work.
• Solid understanding of linguistic principles and grammatical structures in Icelandic.
• Experience collaborating with audio engineers or familiarity with audio recording tools.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to review large volumes of content efficiently.
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience training or evaluating AI language models or NLP systems.
• Background in computational linguistics or language technology projects.
• Experience developing linguistic resources or guidelines for language data annotation.
