Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a Library & Information Science Expert and help shape the future of information management from anywhere in the world. This expert-level role offers the chance to apply your deep knowledge of library science to support innovative projects and digital resource strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate information management policies, metadata standards, and best practices.

• Curate, organize, and maintain digital and physical collections using cutting-edge library technologies.

• Advise on library system selection, deployment, and optimization to improve resource discovery and user experience.

• Conduct advanced research, data analysis, and synthesis to support evidence-based decision-making.

• Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the customer's team.

• Produce high-quality written documentation, reports, and user guides for various stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and communication.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or above in Library & Information Science or related field.

• Significant experience working in academic, public, or special libraries.

• Expert knowledge of cataloging rules, metadata schemas, and digital resource management.

• Proficiency with library management systems and digital repository software.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on clarity and accuracy.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience implementing digital transformation projects in library settings.

• Familiarity with emerging trends in information science, such as artificial intelligence and open access initiatives.

• Certification from ALA or other recognized library associations.
